White will be bringing his unique comedic style to Sydney when he performs along with Brian Aylward and Sydney’s own Nick Beaton at the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre on Thursday, July 21.
Peter White has toured the country as a stand up comedian for years. He has appeared at every major comedy festival, including Just For Laughs in Montreal, the biggest comedy festival in the world. For the last two years, he has written for This Hour Has 22 Minutes, appearing in several episodes and web-exclusive sketches. He is widely recognized as one of the top comedians in the city, and is excited to bring his well-received brand of humour to the late night format with his Letterman-like online venture: Late, Live, And Peter White.
Nick Beaton spent almost a decade honing his comedic chops in Toronto. He is back in Cape Breton readying a move to London, England, for the next phase in his stand-up career. Unafraid to bare all, Beaton’s outrage tinged comedy has been a big hit with local audiences.
Brian Aylward, the pride of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, describes himself as “a Kindergarten teacher by day and a stand up comedian by night”. While working as an ESL teacher in Seoul (South Korea ), Aylward performed for expat audiences throughout South Asia, averaging over 150 gigs a year, since 2007. He has headlined sold-out shows in Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. Upon returning home in early 2011, Aylward’s irreverent charm and storytelling has been a hilarious hit with Canadian audiences.
This special show is offered with cabaret seating for those 19 years and older. Advance tickets are $15 with day ov show tickets $18. Doors open at 7 pm and show time is 9 pm.
