Cape Breton’s monthly entrepreneurship and technology networking event TecSocial will present the winners of its Extreme Makeover: Web Edition competition Thursday, February 3 at 5pm at the Membertou Trade & Convention Centre.
TecSocial goers were asked in January to nominate an organization whose website was in dire need of a makeover. Three lucky nominees were selected for a complete digital overhaul to the landing page of their website courtesy of Lightning Creative and 3bucksaday.com.
Competition winners received a $2000 makeover consisting of custom designed interface and 6 months membership of one of 3bucksaday.com services. The Extreme Makeover panel will provide an overview and demonstrate through the selected sites the best methods to optimize a website to compete globally in the digital world.
Appetizers (limited quantity) and door prizes will be provided compliments of sponsor Eastlink for Business. Cash bar is available. TecSocial is free and welcomes anyone with an interest in entrepreneurship and technology.
