The vintage car show will feature vehicles from 1900-1930 that are original or restored to factory specifications. The gem of the event will be the search for Cape Breton’s Oldest Operating Vehicle, identified as being the oldest original vehicle or restored to original specs. That vehicle will be recognized with an award and will be named the feature car at the event. Following the close of the event, this vehicle will lead the procession of vintage vehicles from Centre 200 to City Hall.
In addition to the vintage car show, Wheels and Deals will give enthusiasts a chance to search for that hard to find piece for their vehicle or memorabilia collection. Swap meet vendors will have a mix of vintage and new parts and items for sale on the car show floor, with entertainment provided throughout the afternoon. A craft market will also be indoors in the Centre 200 concourse. A classic car corral will be designated outdoors for vehicles aged 25 years or older that are for sale by their owner, with a separate area designated for owners looking to bring their classic vehicles for show.
Wheels and Deals will take place on Saturday, June 10th, at Centre 200. Pre-registration for display vehicles and swap meet vendors is required by phoning Sonny Alexander at 902-794-8680. Vehicles for the car corral and outdoor show do not require pre-registration. Wheels and Deals is presented by Cape Breton Classic Cruisers in partnership with Centre 200 and CBRM Recreation.
