Final preparations are underway and tickets are on sale for the 5th Creative Nova Scotia Awards Gala taking place the evening of October 29 at Pier 21 in Halifax.
There is still time to submit nominations for the Community Arts and Culture Recognition Award as well as the Established Artist Recognition Award. If you know of an artist or a community which deserves recognition please consider nominating them.
The Community Arts and Culture Recognition Award, deadline September 15, is presented annually by the Nova Scotia Arts and Culture Partnership Council to a community that demonstrates the value it places on the presence of arts and culture in community life. Funded from the Nova Scotia Arts Endowment Fund, the award carries a cash value of $10,000.
The Established Artist Recognition Award, deadline September 15, is presented annually by the Nova Scotia Arts and Culture Partnership Council to five artists considered to be in mid-career. Funded from the Nova Scotia Arts Endowment Fund, each award carries a cash value of $5,000.
