Multi-award-winning musician Thom Swift will perform at the Inverness Arts Centre to launch their Summer Concert Music Series in Inverness, NS this Thursday, June 10 at 7pm.
Chosen by CBC as one of Canada top singer-songwriters in 2009, Swift released his latest album blue sky day (GroundSwell/Warner) in February. Since its release, he has performed at the Olympics in Vancouver, Folk Alliance in Memphis, the East Coast Music Awards in Sydney and Canadian Music Week in Toronto. He also performed several full band shows throughout the Maritimes and toured Ontario with JP Cormier.
blue sky day was produced by Swift and Halifax-based engineer/producer Charles Austin. It features 11 original songs and a cover of “No Depression In Heaven” and offers Swift’s distinctive blend of roots, blues, folk and rag style.
