After months of speculation and whispers of rumours that various artists were heading to Sydney for the BIG Frosh Week Concert – the CBU Students’ Union has announced a concert that’s sure to shock students and the public with its grand stature. The CBUSU is bringing award winning, American rapper, Flo Rida to Cape Breton on Sunday, September 26, to grace the stage of Centre 200 with his smash hits, including a current top 10 on the Billboard 100.
“The CBUSU is proud to bring another big concert to Sydney. We had a phenomenal hit last year with Sean Kingston and have a great feeling that this concert will sell out. Ticket prices for students and the general public are very reasonable for an artist of this calibre, and there are some big names and up and coming opening acts to up the ante,” says Allison Haley, President, CBUSU. Flo Rida will be accompanied by three other acts – Canadian artist, Craig Smart with his big hit “One Life Stand”, Ill Kidz and another act that will soon be announced.
Student tickets go on sale Wednesday, August 25 at 9:00 a.m.; general public at 11:00 a.m. Floor tickets for CBU students are $26 plus tax and can only be purchased at Caper Convenience. General admission is $40 plus tax and service charges. General admission floor tickets can be purchased at Caper Convenience. All other seating can be acquired at Reserv-a- Tech online, Centre 200 or Savoy Theatre.
