Yes, you can try to learn the piano before Mother’s Day to impress the woman who brought you into this world.
Or you could take Mom to The Savoy Theatre on Sunday, May 8, at 8 pm to The Three Pianos.
Stephen Muise, Aaron Lewis, and Johnny Aucoin have spent almost a decade together entertaining audiences both locally and around the Maritimes (they took their show on the road last week to Truro’s Marigold center).
Muise was the musical arranger and keyboard player for the legendary Cape Breton showband, The Accents, and last year he musically directed the Cape Breton Summertime Revue Reunion Show.
Aaron Lewis toured with the iconic Carleton Showband and has backed up, both musically and comedically, such local acts as Duncan Wells and Howie MacDonald.
Johnny Aucoin has dazzled audiences for many years with his virtuoso playing and seemingly endless repertoire.
Together, they cover everything from standards to TV themes, a country segment, Walt Disney songs, Buddy Holly era (complete with dark rimmed glasses for the trio), a John Denver campfire inspired sing-a-long, the 1950’s, and even a contest that includes a string of songs that allowed folks to guess the year.
Tickets are available online at www.savoytheatre.com; by phone at 902-842-1577, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday and performance night, and in person at the Savoy Box Office, 116 Commercial Street, Glace Bay, during the same hours for phone ticket inquiries.
