“The strength of his voice will carry you away” (Dale Smith, Outlooks Magazine) Canadian Tenor Derrick Paul Miller brings his unique concert of light classics, standards, Irish ballads, and musical theatre favourites to The Savoy Theatre on September 19th. Mr. Miller, a Fredericton native, was a member of New Brunswick’s Characters Incorporated, has toured with musicals both nationally and internationally, has been the featured soloist with the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo in Halifax for the past 3 years, and this year will be returning as a Tenor with the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto for his 7th consecutive season.
His debut CD, Page One, has received critical acclaim and continues to be played nationally on CBC Radio. This Fall, Derrick returns to his roots to tour the Maritimes, and he is thrilled that his first stop is the Savoy, with special guest Darlene MacNevin!
He will be accompanied by Dianne Roxborough-Brown on piano.
