Due to increased chance of extreme weather, the Canada Day concerts planned for North Sydney and Sydney will be held indoors this evening. The North Sydney concert will begin at 4pm at the Emera Centre Northside, while the Sydney concert will begin at 6pm at Centre 200.
The North Sydney Canada Day concert will feature mainstage performances from Andrew Doyle, Flashback, Final Cut, Scotty & the Boys, Full Circle, and Alter Ego. The beverage tent will remain outdoors from 10pm until 2am with Party Boots and the Privateers.
The Sydney Canada Day concert will feature performances from Jordan Musycsyn Band, Newfoundland’s Fortunate Ones, and Slowcoaster, as well as a performance from The Mud Bay Jugglers from Olympia, Washington. Doors will open at 5:30pm for this event.
In addition, Louisbourg’s Canada Day celebration to be held at the S&L Railway Museum has been moved to the Louisbourg Firehall. This will be held at 2pm and feature music and activities for the entire family.
