Friday and Saturday nights (November 6th and 7th) local punk rockers Static In Action celebrate the release of their self titled double CD with a weekend of shows. The band consisting of Harry Doyle (vocals, guitar) Alicia Penney (bass, vocals) and Hector Smith (drums) took a unique approach to recording their first CD, recording electric and acoustic versions of all 9 tracks and making both versions of each song available in a double CD package.
The electric version of the album was recorded by Jamie Foulds at Soundpark Studios, while the acoustic version was recorded at frontman Harry Doyle’s home studio. Both versions were mixed and mastered at Soundpark and the CD is being released and distributed by Out Of Touch Records. Static In Action will perform acoustically Friday night with guests Rob Harris, Colette Deveaux and Scott Boudreau then on Saturday the band will play an electric set with guests And Here We Go and Black Tooth Grinn. Showtime is 10pm-2am.
