Comedian Andrew Evans will headline the Yuk Yuk’s comedy tour when it returns to Sydney at The Highland Arts Theatre on Friday, August 28th, presented by AdLang Promotions and the Hearthstone Inn.
Shortly after moving from to Toronto from Dartmouth in late 2001, Andrew Evans made an appearance on Open Mic with Mike Bullard. After winning the Laugh Resort’s funniest person with a day job competition in Toronto, Evans was invited to perform at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. Since then, Evans has performed on MuchMusic’s hit show, Video on Trial, and in 2011 taped his own half hour Comedy Now! special for the Comedy Network. Evans continues to tour the country, bringing his mix of smart and silly language-driven humour to colleges, comedy clubs, military bases and festivals from coast to coast, including The Ha!ifax Comedy Festival.
Comics Ian Black and Andrew Murphy will also be performing.
Ian Black has made himself a fixture of the comedy scene in Atlantic Canada and beyond, frequently appearing in clubs as well as in The Ha!ifax Comedy Festival. Ian is currently a semi-finalist in Sirius XM Radio’s Top Comic competition, battling against comedians from across the country for the chance to perform at Just For Laughs 42 in Toronto. Cape Bretoner Andrew Murphy will open the show.
Tickets are available at the Highland Arts Theatre box office or online at highlandartstheatre.com. General admission is $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
