At the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design Friday, January 14, art and music lovers can experience the creative process right along with the artist. The Colour of Blue is a show that incorporates live painting to the wail of gritty blues and rock creating a unique visual-aural performance.
Cape Breton artist Kenny Boone is best known for his watercolour landscapes and seascapes, and continues to expand his works with other media and themes, including abstract pieces and portraits. For The Colour of Blue, he will be painting in acrylic on a large canvas with musical accompanied by Buck & Kinch, a blues-rock duo based from Sydney’s North End. The event will be documented by Crew Productions, so if you plan on attending, make sure you’re ready for the camera!
The event will take place in the third floor loft at the centre, located at 322 Charlotte Street, from 8:30pm to 11:30pm. Admission is 19+, and there will be a cash bar.
