Sydney based funk rock trio Slowcoaster has just released a sharp looking video for the first single off of their latest album The Darkest of Discos. The video was shot and directed by North Sydney native and resident Jason LeFrense at Sydney’s The Upstairs club and features Fiona MacGillivray of The Cottars. The single “The Darkest of Discos” is currently #1 on the East Coast Countdown and Q104’s Rock 10 Chart.
On his blog LaFrense wrote of the shoot:
“This was probably my favorite shoot in a long long time. Sometimes you just need something to clear your head. Well when this job came up I took it right away for numerous reasons. These guys are work horses and I have so much respect for them as musicians/individuals.”
Fans of all ages will be able to catch the band’s wet/dry show Thursday, February 3rd at CBU’s Pit Lounge.
