In this Scenery I would like to talk about the whole scene in general. Last Summer was probably the most progressive season for skateboarding in Cape Breton that I’ve seen in many years. People went bigger, the scene got bigger, and everybody skated with everyone. It didn’t matter where you were from, who you skated for, or how good you could skate, we were just Capers and proud of it. Everyone knows there is a shop war going on right now and that’s not good for the scene but this should not divide caperskaters into cliques. That why we were so well respected by Halifax and outsiders, because we all had a bond and knew how to party. When there’s a positive vibe between us they see it, feel it and it stokes them. I’m just as guilty as anyone and to the people I urbed I’m sorry. The summer is just starting, there’s lots of time, let’s act like Capers not cliquers and skate your asses off.
