The idea to design this collection came to Savoy Theatre Manager Donald Ferguson while he was making inquiries to various artists for the summer show dates. “Almost every artist I spoke to made it clear that this was a summer they’d rather spend at home. It seems everyone really wants to be close to family and friends.”, says Ferguson. “…and so…we’re able to offer a concentrated Cape Breton element to visiting and local patrons.” As a lover of live entertainment himself, Donald also notes the range of variety in this package. “In this bundle of shows you’ll get comedy, fiddling, top 40 material, traditional music, thought-provoking song-writers & story tellers….and it’s all under one roof. There’s absolutely something for everyone.”
