With recent restrictions being imposed in Halifax and with case numbers growing daily, Savoy Theatre management along with the Savoy’s Board of Directors, have made the very hard decision to cancel their in-house viewings of a previously planned Christmas show series: Christmas with the Barra MacNeils (Dec 11, 12, 13) and The Cape Breton Christmas Hour: A Two Hour show (Dec 18, 19, 20).
The Savoy reports that it was not an easy decision, but the safety and well-being of their volunteers, staff, performers and show-goers takes priority over all else.
The Savoy will be offering a full refund ($59.50) for anyone who purchased tickets for the live show and are encouraging everyone to then secure a live stream ticket for $25. Both performances will be offered with high-quality adaptive streaming by NovaStream, the company who brought Celtic Colours to the online world. Staff at the theatre are also offering to walk patrons through the steps to purchase the online link.
