The Savour Food & Wine Show celebrates its 3rd anniversary on Cape Breton Island in 2013. The much anticipated culinary expo will take place on May 15 from 7-9:30pm at Centre 200 in Sydney.
Residents, visitors and foodies alike are encouraged to make their way through the diverse dining scene of Cape Breton. With over 30 exhibitors, Centre 200 will be transformed into a culinary playground showcasing the Island’s best local products. Guests are invited to taste, mingle and sample a wide range of food, wine and beverages.
The Savour Food & Wine Show is an annual showcase of restaurants, wines and beverages, bringing together chefs, cooks, sommeliers and other culinary professionals to present the best Nova Scotia has to offer. The show originated ten years ago in Halifax as part of the Savour Food & Wine Festival. Due to popularity and demand, the show travelled to Sydney and is now the largest food and wine expo on the island. Event goers will have the opportunity to visit each booth, tasting what has been prepared for them for the evening, tantalizing their tastebuds and discovering the culinary scene that is Cape Breton.
“Savour is an experience like no other,” says Mary Tulle, CEO of Destination Cape Breton. “The show continues to showcase the phenomenal culinary ability of the island all under one roof. The success enjoyed in Halifax has now established itself here in Cape Breton and we hope to grow each year.”
As Atlantic Canada’s premier food & wine event, Savour attracts a wide and dedicated audience, making it ‘the’ food and wine event of the year. Savour is presented by the Restaurant Association of Nova Scotia, a non-profit association that seeks to provide leadership to the hospitality industry through advocacy, partnerships promotion. RANS has successfully represented and promoted the food and beverage sector since 1947.
