Celebrate the King of Rock and Roll’s birthday in style with World Champion Elvis tribute artist Thane Dunn and his band the Cadillac Kings Thursday, January 22nd at the Savoy Theatre.
In the past ten years Moncton’s Thane Dunn has become widely known as one of the best Elvis tribute artists in the world. He has been called the “complete Elvis package” whose looks, voice, moves and stage presence make him a fan favorite among even die hard Elvis fans.
Dunn has performed in the King’s old stomping grounds Memphis and Las Vegas and has performed with Elvis’ original back up group The Imperials as well as The King’s film co star Darlene Thompkins from Blue Hawaii. Dunn’s costumes are exact replicas and this year’s Birthday Tour features five different changes ranging from the ’68 Comeback Special black leather suit to all new jumpsuits used in the MGM documentary ELVIS ON TOUR and even the now famous Aloha Eagle jumpsuit.
The Cadillac Kings have performed with Dunn for over ten years and recreate the TCB bands’ sound lick for lick. The performers pride themselves on knowing so many songs from every era of The King’s career that they never need put on the same show twice.
