Slowcoaster’s Boxing Day Blowout brings a busy year of touring home to Governor’s Pub on December 26, 9:00pm ‘till 2:00am closing. The all-out party will feature “Darkest of Discos” material, older favourite, acoustic numbers from Steve McDougall and Mike Le Lievre, and between-sets track-spinning from DJ Brian Talbot. The boys of Fine Lookin’ Mary are back for their Boxing Day Bash at Shindig’s Pub in Port Hawkesbury. Join Sandy Ehler, Joel Morais, Lenny Pettipas, and their new bandmate James Cameron to rock it out on Granville Street on December 26, at 10:00pm.
If the pace of the season has caught up with you, relax with a live acoustic set at Governor’s Pub with Calum MacPhee and Curt Dillon on Monday, December 27 at 10:00pm or the sweet sounds of the Joe Waye Jr Jazz Group at the Sydney Curling Club from 8:30-12:00. You can also catch local legend Sam Moon at JT’s Pub at 10:00pm the same night.
With so many Tuesday night shows to choose from, December 28 has never seen so much action. ECMA-winning fiddler Andrea Beaton will be playing at the Doryman Tavern in Cheticamp, 7:00pm-10:00pm. For some Caper-Haligonian acoustic Pop sounds, join Breagh Potter and special guests at 10:00pm in Governors Pub. At the Upstairs Club, Black Tooth Grin will be joined by their pals in Ricochet for their acoustic show at 10:00pm. Also in the 10:00pm timeslot is Matt Fahey, who’ll be playing at JT’s Pub in New Waterford.
