Myth in the Mist, an exhibition of fine craft and visual art by member artisans of the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design, celebrates the Otherworld of Faeries.
Imagined or real, we love to tell tales of faeries. Faerie lore has given us tales of good fortune and bad, helping hands and foolish pranks, blessings and curses. Are those really fireflies? Perhaps brownies are lighting their way to a gathering among the roots of an aging oak tree. Those who encounter them are always advised to be respectful!
The exhibition will be showing October 5 to November 13, 2009 in the Centre’s main gallery, 322 Charlotte Street, Sydney, NS. Gallery hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm and Saturdays from noon to 4pm.
