The Cape Breton Regional Library is inviting Expressions of Interest from performance artists
and musicians to take part in Making Noise in the Library which will be held in conjunction with Lumière 2012 Contemporary Art. Unconventional Spaces. Lumière is an art-at-night event, taking place in September, that inspires and entertains by bringing art to the public in an unconventional format.
Making Noise in the Library will provide five emerging acts an opportunity to showcase their talents in a distinctive and prominent venue. Applicants are encouraged to embrace the spirit of Lumière by proposing projects that are unique, unconventional or experimental. Fees are dependent on the availability of funding.
Deadline for submissions is July 25. Send a brief biography, as well as a CD or online link to access up to three samples of your work (please include song titles). Submissions can be emailed to rgillis@nssc.library.ns.ca or mailed to:
