On Thursday October 25th, the Savoy Theatre will play host to one of Canada’s most respected performers, Mae Moore. The award winning singer/songwriter played an intimate concert about a year ago in the studio space and simply delighted an audience who were clearly impressed not only with her amazing talent but her warmth of personality.
With 4 successful albums behind her, Moore is about to release her recently completed Channel Maker. Her songs include “I’ll Watch Over You”, “Watermark”, and “Red Clay Hills”, to name but a few. She has also penned compositions for other artists including Loverboy. Many of her songs have accompanied several TV and movie soundtracks.
Moore started out in the folk clubs of Ontario and over the years has called both coasts home, preferring to live near the ocean. Though proud of her accomplishments and the air-play of her material, this is one performer who is more concerned with the content of her music. As a writer she speaks with an obvious passion for her subjects, which deal primarily with personal experiences as well as the state of the world at the moment. “Music is the driving wind that guides my life, a life I feel so grateful for.”
For a truly moving evening of entertainment, and one that will send you away with a brighter outlook, Mae Moore will share her optimistic view when she takes the stage in the Studio Space Thursday at 8:00 Tickets are $12.00
