Kyle Mischiek is a 17 year old East Coast Hip Hop artist from Florence, Cape Breton.
Mischiek’s debut EP, 570, took notice after the release of the first single, “We Are An Island Remix”, which has since become a huge Cape Breton hit, generating a total of 80,000 views on YouTube, and putting Mischiek’s music in the spotlight on the East Coast of Canada.
Through tons of media attention, innovative YouTube content, and explosive live performances, Mischiek has quickly developed a large and loyal young fan base, but more and more often people of all ages are revealing themselves as Kyle Mischiek fans. His growth has been exponential, and he is gearing up to take the nation, and world by storm with his next project!
Mischiek has collaborated with many other songwriters/musicians including Gordie Sampson, My Name Is Kay, Breagh Mackinnon, Steven MacDougall, Matty Boh, Johnathan MacInnis, and Laura Roy.
Starting out locally, Mischiek’s early success can be traced back to music development programs such as Next Big Thing Talent Search and The Gordie Sampson Songcamp. But it was his work ethic and passion for making music that brought him the this next level.
Mischiek’s sophomore EP is currently being produced by Multi ECMA winner Jamie Foulds at Soundpark Studios. The six-song short album includes collaborations with some incredible artists and groups including Slowcoaster and Dylan Guthro. The CD is scheduled for release in June of 2013.
Mischiek’s debut concert blew the crowd away at the packed Savoy Theatre on March 1, and he is at it again, ready to take on Strathspey Place Theatre in Mabou on Saturday, April 20.
