Feeling creative, but lacking an outlet? Want to try acting? writing? directing? improv? The Cape Breton stage Company bills its Power Plays event as half improv, half scripted theatre and…er.. half workshop, but all awesome!
Beginning at 1pm at CBU’s Boardmore Playhouse participants take part in a workshop about putting together, performing, and producing a show. After the workshop ends the participants form small groups and choose a group leader. All the teams are then given a common theme to work with and have the remainder of the day to create a piece of theatre to perform that evening. The evening performances are open to the public and begin at 8pm. Admission is $5.
