For years they brought words of inspiration and creativity to their students and fellow teachers; now in retirement, they are finding renewed passion for words and have created the Cabot Trails Writers Festival. Come hear about what truly inspires Jeanette MacDonald and Gary Walsh to live their love of words and share with others the understanding of their importance.
During the evening we will also hear from Wayne MacKay from the Cape Breton Stage Company Co-operative about their exciting initiatives. We’re also in for yet another musical treat with the POE Trio featuring guitarist Paul MacDonald, fiddler Otis Tomas, and bassist Ed Woodsworth.
“Ideas Powered by Passion” is about encouraging new thinking through speech and music. This series is meant to uncover the passions of our people through the sharing of their stories. Our previous scintillating speakers have already inspired many IDEAS guests into action, helping them to realize their own passions. We hope you will join us to hear from our exciting line-up of guests!
