The road show celebrating the release of CDs from Fredericton’s Hungry Hearts and Oh No Theodore makes a stop at Governors Pub on Sydney’s Esplanade on Friday, June 24, at 10 pm.
Visit Hungry Hearts’ MySpace page and all the comments praise their raw sound and dynamic stage show. Hungry Hearts album It’s Love was recorded by Brad Perry (Forward Music Group) in Fredericton, NB and mastered by J. LaPointe (Wintersleep, Joel Plaskett, Sloan) at the legendary Archive Studios in Halifax. Featuring 10 powerhouse songs, the Hungry Hearts album perfectly captures the passion and energy of the band’s live show.
Although on the scene for just over a year (they celebrated their first birthday as a band in February), Oh No Theodore has been earning reviews like this one: “haunting music that builds and builds until it explodes”. Their album We’re All Underachieving features 11 tunes and was recorded by the band’s own Lukas Bailey (Kempt Productions) and mixed and mastered by James Gautier (Holophonic Porno, On Vinyl, Stereo Airing).
A local opening act will be announced as soon as possible.
