Governors Pub will host some fresh hip hop, funk and ska sounds Thursday, February 10 at 10pm as locals Royal Kush open for latest Halifamous buzz band Three Sheet. $5 for those ages 19 and over.
Halifax’s Three Sheet‘s “neo-soul, funk, and organic live hip hop” sound is made up of 3 microphones, bass and electric guitars, beatbox percussion, funky rhythms and potent lyrics. Born out of kitchen jam sessions with wooden spoons for drumsticks, beat-boxing, freestyling and improvised guitar playing and with roots in Funk, Lyricism, Lounge and Beatbox styles.
Royal Kush is a Cape Breton based 3 piece Hip Hop/Reggae/Blues band featuring vocalist and lead guitarist Jim Melvin rapper and bass player Matt Nokes and Jesse MacInnis on drums.
