The Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre is gearing up for the Florida Panthers Training Camp scheduled for September 12-16, 2009. The team’s full schedule will be released over the next few weeks; however, games and banquet times have been confirmed and tickets will be going on sale Monday, June 29, 2009 at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre.
The first game will take place Monday, September 14 at 11:30 a.m. and features an inter squad game of fast paced NHL action.
Continuing with the tradition of featuring varsity teams at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre, the St. F X. men”s hockey team will play the Florida Panthers’ rookie team on Monday, September 14 at 7:30 p.m. ‘We have made it a priority in our X-Men hockey program to focus on the professional development of our players and to provide the best out-of-conference schedule and professional exposure possible. Securing a top quality opponent like this is a great step for our program and we are very thankful to the Florida Panthers organization and the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre for putting this together.
