Estuary Festival, presented by 989 XFM, debuts in Inverness on Saturday, August 27, with an all star line up of musical acts to “celebrate community and music”.
Scheduled to perform at the day long event are local area acts and acts from Cape Breton and Mainland Nova Scotia, including Slowcoaster, Carmen Townsend, The Idlers, Richard James and The Name Changers, Scientists of Sound, Modern Slang Trio, The Quivers, The Town Heroes, and the High School Band, with more acts to be announced.
The location is 16255 Highway 19, and the gates open at 10 am with the music starting at 11 am. Be advised this is a rain or shine event, there is no on-site camping, and there will be security on the premises. The concert will have a beer garden for those who are 19 years and older.
Organizers are advising concertgoers to pack a lunch, bring their lawn chairs and sunscreen and get ready to enjoy 12 hours of great music.
Tickets are $39.50 in advance and $50 at the gate, and are available at www.ticketpro.ca and all Ticket Pro outlets as well as the following locations: in Inverness at Rorison’s Rite Shop, The Bear Paw, Oran office; in Antigonish at the Tall & Small Cafe; in Port Hawkesbury at the Fleur de Lis.
