Dance students from the Inverness County Recreation After School Dance Program, Port Hawkesbury Recreation Program and Chestico Museum Society Stepdance Troupe will combine their talents for a concert at Strathspey Place in Mabou on Friday, May 25.
“Dance Debut celebrates the fun of learning with dance,” says instructor Michelle Greenwell. “This year’s show, Awesomazing, is sharing the feeling that everyone can experience by being part of a dance class and performing on stage. The age range for the show is from 2 years to 11 years, all with just a little experience. Many dancers will be making their debut on the stage. And, we are thrilled to be fundraising for Strathspey Place to continue its legacy of providing a top notch facility for us to perform and learn from.”
Enjoy an evening of incredible fun and entertainment as dancers young and old share their talents in tap, jazz, hip hop, stepdance, highland, and musical theatre. For many students this was their first year of dance instruction, and it will be their debut performance.
The cost for this performance is a donation to Strathspey Place to support the facility that provides rehearsal space, stage experience and a full theatre experience for performers across the island. We are grateful for the opportunity to showcase on such an incredible stage.
This is an evening not too be missed. Donations will be accepted at the door with general seating beginning at 6pm.
