Classic Albums Live – a popular band of top Canadian musicians return to the Membertou Trade and Convention Center on Tuesday, January 18 to recreate, note for note, Who’s Next, the pioneering album from legendary Brtish rock and roll band The Who
Who’s Next, often described as a futuristic rock opera, was immediately recognized for its dynamic and unique sound. The album opens with the innovative “Baba O’Reilly” and other signature tracks include the ballad “Behind Blue Eyes”, and the closing song, the epic “Won’t Get Fooled Again”; as well as fan favorites such as “Bargain”, “My Wife” and “Going Mobile”. In 1990, The Who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame where their display describes them as “Prime contenders, in the minds of many, for the title of World’s Greatest Rock Band.” Allmusic.com says the album is “anger and sorrow, humor and regret, passion and tumult, all wrapped up in a blistering package”.
