The 21st Celtic Colours International Festival is scheduled for October 6-14 and after months of waiting for the lineup and schedule announcements, tickets are finally about to go on sale. More than 65 communities all over Cape Breton Island will host concerts and a wide variety of cultural events. Artists from across Canada, the US, Scotland and Ireland will join some of Cape Breton’s finest players, singers, dancers and culture bearers, as the annual celebration of music and culture explores the theme of roots.
Tuesday, July 11 is the big day. Tickets go on sale at 10am ADT and are available to purchase online through celtic-colours.com, by phone 1-888-355-7744 (toll free) / 902-567-3000 (local) or in person at the Celtic Colours Box Office, 37 Nepean Street in Sydney.
If you plan on buying in person at the Box Office, you are are in for a special treat. Featured Celtic Colours artists Ben Miller & Anita MacDonald and Décota McNamara will be on hand to entertain folks as they make their ticket purchases. Entertainment will begin at 8am with the pipe and fiddle duo of Miller & MacDonald followed by singer and guitarist McNamara at 10am. And there will be free coffee, tea and treats available from Tim Hortons.
