The Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design has unveiled its spring course and workshop schedule, offering a variety of classes designed to appeal to a broad range of creative interests. Classes being offered include; Drawing & Composition, Stained Glass, Jewellery, Oil Painting, A Brush With Watercolour and Off the Grid: Intermediate – Advanced Sculptural Weaving. The courses begin at different times in April May and June.
From introductory day sessions to more intense advanced multi-day workshops, The Centre also offers speciality workshops lead by expert instructors. Single day workshops will occur on three Saturdays in May: Cold Connection Ring Making on May 7th, Screen Printing on May 14th and Pottery – Throwing on May 28th. If you prefer a hands off approach to art appreciation the Center is also running a new exhibit of works by North Sydney Based painter Grazyna (Gigi) Evancio Evancio’s work focuses on” buildings and street scenes, nature and … the people living and interacting in these environments.”
The Centre’s Gallery is open weekdays from 10am to 4pm and Saturday’s noon to 4pm.
