Select Nova Scotia is inviting applications to host community meals during February 2011 that feature locally produced food as part of its Winter Food campaign. The campaign’s goal is to dispel the notion that locally grown food is not readily available during winter.
Winter is a great time to use storage crops, fresh meat and seafood, and the many high quality frozen products available as ingredients in delicious hearty stews, seafood chowder, roasted root vegetable sides, and baked berry desserts.
A limited number of $500 sponsorships for Incredible Community Suppers are available to cover event costs including the purchase of local food ingredients and promotion. Download details about how to apply for Incredible Community Suppers sponsorships here.
Application deadline is Wednesday, January 5. Incredible Community Supper hosts will be contacted by Friday, January 7 to confirm if their application for sponsorship has been successful.
