The Friends of Denne Burchell are presenting An Evening of Jazz in Denne’s memory at the Dobson Yacht Club in Westmount on Thursday, August 11 at 8pm. The event will feature the Carl Getto Septet with vocalist John Lewis and Gary “Monk” Pretty on tenor sax plus special guest musicians, including James Munore on trombone, Dave MacDonald on Flugelhorn and Jim Guy on vibes, performing jazz standards. There will be a cash bar, door prizes and a 50/50 draw.
Tickets are $20.00 per person and are available at the Dobson Yacht Club and MacLeod Lorway Insurance on Charlotte Street. All proceeds from this event will go to the Hospice Palliative Care Society at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
