If you’re eager to see Canada’s next national women’s curling champion crowned in just over six weeks, you’re not alone. And if you haven’t picked up your tickets yet, now’s the time to step to it. All single-draw tickets, including playoff draws, for the 2019 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, February 16-24 at Centre 200 in Sydney, are now on sale.
The 2019 Scotties is the most famous national women’s curling championship in the world, and Canada’s elite teams will be in Sydney playing for the right to wear the Maple Leaf as Team Canada.
Individual playoff tickets went on sale Thursday, giving curling fans the chance to pick and choose their seats for any draw of the 2019 Scotties, but sales have been enthusiastic, meaning you’ll need to act quickly. Tickets for games on the closing Friday are $29.50 apiece; Saturday Page Playoff games and Sunday’s semifinal are $32.50 apiece, and the Championship Final on Sunday is $37.50.
These new offers are in addition to other single tickets that went on sale back in November:
- Weekday Mornings (Monday to Wednesday): $17.50
- Weekday Afternoons (Monday to Wednesday) $22.50
- Sunday and Weekday Evenings (Monday to Wednesday): $24.50
- Championship Pool Afternoon (Thursday): $24.50
- Premium Opening Day (Saturday) and Championship Pool Evening (Thursday): $29.50
Other options include day packages starting at $49, the opening weekend package for $99, and the championship weekend package at $189. Full event packages are also still available.

While we know that Jennifer Jones’s reigning champions from Winnipeg will be in Sydney as Team Canada, the rest of the field won’t be filled out until after provincial and territorial playdowns are completed in early February.
That’s when the two eight-team pools will be assigned and the matchups for the preliminary round will be set. That schedule to be available the week of February 4.
And while we don’t know who will be repping the home province — the Nova Scotia Scotties champion will be crowned on January 27 — we DO know when the home team will be playing over the first five days of the 2019 Scotties. Nova Scotia will play three times on the opening weekend — in Draw 1 on February 16 at 2:30 pm (all times AT), and also will play twice on the opening Sunday, at 9:30 am and 8 pm. Nova Scotia will also plays in Draws 7 (on Monday), 9 and 11 (both on Tuesday) and 13 (on Wednesday).
Once the preliminary round is complete in the 16-team, two-pool draw, the top four teams from each pool move into the Championship Pool, and the remainder of the schedule will be set.
2017 Scotties champ Rachel Homan also will be in Sydney — either as the Ontario champion or playing in the Wild Card Game on Friday, February 15, at Centre 200.

You can check out live music, have a meal and mingle with players and fellow fans from all over Canada.
