Twenty-five refurbished computer systems will be given away, complete with monitor, tower, keyboard and mouse. Each adult at ACAP Cape Breton at 9am will receive one ticket. The computer draw will take place as soon as tickets are distributed. There are no guarantees, warranties or exchanges.
“Our giveaways are a great opportunity to reduce the environmental impact of electronics by finding new homes for working computers,” notes Shawn Young, e-Recycling Manager at ACAP Cape Breton. “The giveaways always make for an exciting morning in Downtown Sydney.” ACAP Cape Breton’s Electronics Program continues to be highly successful in giving a second life to used electronics. Each year, hundreds of computers are refurbished to allow these electronics to be reused before they are recycled. Since the program’s inception, thousands of recycled computers have been provided back into our community.
